As far as I can tell , most religions are based on believing something we cannot prove, so why not a religion based on fact, we need the Sun, so Sun worshippers  were not wrong or stupid. Nature tells us something every day, why not have a religion based on natural happenings, like many so-called primitive tribes did!  Yes, they had some unreasonable beliefs, but Christians, Muslims and others expect us to believe things they can never prove!
